Summary
GWB's tools run in your browser. Files, text and numbers you use in a tool are processed on your device and are not uploaded to or stored by GWB. This policy explains the limited information that may be collected when you visit the site.
Information processed by the tools
Content you open or type into a tool stays on your device. Some tools remember small preferences in your browser's local or session storage (for example, whether you have seen the “Find a tool” helper and your last helper search). You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may collect technical information such as IP addresses in server logs for security and operations. See GitHub's privacy statement.
Analytics
We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service, to count page views and learn which tools are useful. It does not use cookies or track you across sites, and it collects only aggregated, non-identifying information such as the page visited, referrer, browser type, screen size and country. Per-page view totals are public, and our home page uses them to show the most popular tools. See GoatCounter's privacy policy.
To show a “Recently used” list on the home page, your browser remembers which tools you opened in its local storage. This list never leaves your device, and you can clear it in your browser settings.
Advertising and cookies
We may display ads from third-party vendors, including Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
