Frequently asked questions

Is the paycheck calculator free?

Yes. The paycheck calculator is 100% free with no limits, no watermark and no paid tier.

Do I need an account or sign-up?

No. There is no account, sign-up or email required. Open the page and start using it.

Can I export or download my results?

Yes. Use Save results in the Free forever box to download your inputs and results as PDF, Excel (.xlsx) or CSV, or tap Send to phone to share them as a plain-text note (share sheet, copy, .txt file or QR code). Files are created in your browser and include the date generated.

How do I convert hourly pay to a yearly salary?

Multiply the hourly rate by hours per week and by weeks worked per year. For example, $25 an hour × 40 hours × 52 weeks = $52,000 a year.

How is take-home pay estimated?

We apply the 2026 federal brackets and standard deduction, your state's 2026 income tax, Social Security (6.2% up to $184,500) and Medicare (1.45%, plus 0.9% above the threshold). Credits, local taxes and other deductions are not included. Estimates only, not tax advice.

What is the difference between biweekly and semimonthly?

Biweekly means every two weeks (26 paychecks a year). Semimonthly means twice a month (24 paychecks a year), so each semimonthly check is slightly larger.

Are my files or text uploaded anywhere?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you enter or open is sent to our servers or stored by us.
